Fullback struggles hurt South Sydney’s finals charge

It was the Rabbitohs who ended the Roosters finals campaign last year, and now they have their revenge.

Despite missing three of their key players - Joseph Manu, Daniel Tupou and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves - the Roosters have managed to keep the dream of playing finals alive.

South Sydney weren’t without their struggles - losing Latrell Mitchell to suspension, and losing fullback Blake Taaffe to a head knock during the game hurt the team, but the Roosters were the better team tonight.
